Love of Flowers

Here is another post with some of my photography of flowers. Some of these were taken in Portland (a city I dream of living in one day), some in Arizona, some in Hawaii and in Victoria Island, Canada. Hope you enjoy and if you would like a print of any of my photographs on this blog, please e-mail me for further information and pricing at Heathergauthier02@gmail.com. Thanks and have an enchanting day!!!

A Girl Just Needs Flowers Sometimes

In spirit of Valentines Day, I wanted to share some photos I have taken of flowers from some of the different places I've visited that I've been so very blessed to see. Flowers are some of my favorite things to have in my house and garden (although the garden looks a bit sad right now). I especially love when my husband brings them home for no reason, what girl wouldn't? Anyways, every time we visit a new place you can easily find me snapping photos of flowers. I have been known to even make Travis pull over on the side of a mountain highway so I can take a "quick" picture of a flower. Hope you enjoy and let me know which are your favorite, if you like. Happy Valentines Day!

Christmas Time

This year my husband and I decided we would spend Christmas up in Flagstaff, Arizona at the Little America Hotel. We were lucky enough to have a white Christmas, and my first white Christmas ever! It was peaceful, magical, and full of beauty. The Little America Hotel decorates the grounds with sparkling lights and makes the place look like a Winter Wonderland. Here are some photos of our stay...hope you enjoy. :)

Wishing for four seasons :(

Today....I really wish I lived somewhere with four seasons. Christmas is right around the corner and it's still in the 80's. It's nice, don't get me wrong, I enjoy not needing to turn on the heat and having coffee with the windows open, but I still wish I could feel a Christmas that was actually cold. Most years we will have the windows open and can usually get away with wearing shorts and t-shirt. I remember my dad telling me when I lived at home that he would like for just one year where he wasn't sweating putting up the Christmas lights. Yes, that is Christmas in Phoenix. I just think it would be nice to be able to wear a scarf and be all cozy next to a fire sipping some hot chocolate. Oh well.....I guess it's always greener on the other side, right? However, I will usually look over pictures of Flagstaff, Arizona in the snow to remind me that at least four seasons isn't too far away. Here are some pics of Flagstaff in the snow that I snapped while visiting my best friend. These always refresh me. Enjoy!

Fall in Flagstaff, Arizona

Flagstaff, Arizona.....one of my favorite towns in Arizona. If only I could live there! The vibe of the town, the four season weather, and the constant sites of nature make me want to pick up my life here in Phoenix and just simply move....leaving responsibilities of my upside down house, work, and so much more. I dream of a life with my husband and one day future children. I fantasize about leaving this big city and living in a town where I would shop in the unique cute boutiques, hike and bike through the urban trail, photograph fall colors and fresh fallen snow, and listen to summer thunderstorms on my make-believe porch while eating a rocky road ice-cream cone. I know if we ever did get the chance my husband would gladly pick up everything and go! However, I must stop dreaming and realize that for now I live in Phoenix and need to try to enjoy what this city has to offer. At least Flag is only two hours away from my home and in the autumn I can go and easily enjoy a true fall day. Here are some photos taken on a drive on a forest road in Flagstaff. Happy Fall!!!

A trip to the Bahamas

To celebrate the end of my journey towards becoming an RD, my husband and I went on a trip to the Bahamas. The glistening sea and soft breeze made me want to stay for much longer than a week. We started our trip in Miami before we left on our cruise and traveled to Grand Bahama Island, Great Stirrup Cay, and Nassau. It was one of the most relaxing vacations that Travis and I have went on.....mostly because I didn't have to cook one meal! :)
