Italy....my dream come true!

I have been so fortunate in my life to have visited Italy TWICE before I ever turned 25. I know that this is something that I can never take for granted. I went the first time during a study abroad program through ASU where I met the best room-mate a girl could have. I cherish those memories always. The second time was with my husband about a year or two after we were married. Both times were adventures with unforgettable memories.

I wanted to post some of my favorite photos of Italy that I snapped during my second trip there and I think I may be posting photos near in the future of some of the other travels I have been blessed to experience. So keep checking :)

Without.....

What do you notice when a picture is black and white and without color? I usually notice more texture and patterns. I start to see more of the art in the photograph. Sometimes it almost looks like a different world all together, a place more calm and still. I think that's why I like black and white photos so often, they force me to stop my busy crazy brain for a second and really admire a photo. They help to bring me peace.

Below are some of my photo's in black in white, hope you enjoy :)

First Photo Snaps

I thought I would share some of my photo's from when I first started to discover photography. It was shortly after I met my husband that I started learning about photography and how much passion I have for it. Here are some of my very first photography pieces that I hope you enjoy.

Hope you enjoy and if you would like a print of any of my photographs on this blog, please e-mail me for further information and pricing at Heathergauthier02@gmail.com. A Girl Just Needs Flowers Sometimes

In spirit of Valentines Day, I wanted to share some photos I have taken of flowers from some of the different places I've visited that I've been so very blessed to see. Flowers are some of my favorite things to have in my house and garden (although the garden looks a bit sad right now). I especially love when my husband brings them home for no reason, what girl wouldn't? Anyways, every time we visit a new place you can easily find me snapping photos of flowers. I have been known to even make Travis pull over on the side of a mountain highway so I can take a "quick" picture of a flower. Hope you enjoy and let me know which are your favorite, if you like. Happy Valentines Day!

Christmas Time

This year my husband and I decided we would spend Christmas up in Flagstaff, Arizona at the Little America Hotel. We were lucky enough to have a white Christmas, and my first white Christmas ever! It was peaceful, magical, and full of beauty. The Little America Hotel decorates the grounds with sparkling lights and makes the place look like a Winter Wonderland. Here are some photos of our stay...hope you enjoy. :)

Wishing for four seasons :(

Today....I really wish I lived somewhere with four seasons. Christmas is right around the corner and it's still in the 80's. It's nice, don't get me wrong, I enjoy not needing to turn on the heat and having coffee with the windows open, but I still wish I could feel a Christmas that was actually cold. Most years we will have the windows open and can usually get away with wearing shorts and t-shirt. I remember my dad telling me when I lived at home that he would like for just one year where he wasn't sweating putting up the Christmas lights. Yes, that is Christmas in Phoenix. I just think it would be nice to be able to wear a scarf and be all cozy next to a fire sipping some hot chocolate. Oh well.....I guess it's always greener on the other side, right? However, I will usually look over pictures of Flagstaff, Arizona in the snow to remind me that at least four seasons isn't too far away. Here are some pics of Flagstaff in the snow that I snapped while visiting my best friend. These always refresh me. Enjoy!
